Classic Mercedes HireWorcestershire based classic Mercedes Benz specialist The SL Shop has introduced its classic Mercedes hire services with their fleet of Mercedes young classics.

Managing Director Sam Bailey created the new hire division in response to the growing demand for hire services that his business had received over the past 18 months.  It was clear there was a want and need for the service but creating a fleet that represented the cream of the crop with regards to Mercedes young classics was no mean feet!

Sam's ultimate selection was driven by a desire to offer the best of best; the best models, the best engines, the best colours and balancing this with hire fleet practicality, clearly wanting to meet the needs of all rental scenarios.  He's now able to offer such legends as the iconic 230SL Pagoda, popularised by so many 60’s film stars, a V8 SL500 and a 250 S Limousine.

Demand to date has been exceptional ranging from wedding self-drive hire and those looking for romantic weekend to corporate looking to reward well deserving staff.  “The variety of renters has been a real surprise” says Sam, “We offer gift certificates which have made it a popular birthday or anniversary present and because we rent to anybody over 25 it’s been a real hit with younger drivers too.  We’ve even had a chap rent one so that he could propose to his fiancée in style!”

Rental rates start from £95.00 and include unlimited mileage, full breakdown cover and fully comprehensive insurance.  Additional services such as picnic lunches, accommodation booking, route planning and car delivery can also be organised upon request by visiting or by calling 0800 612 0433.
